Non Oakajee Infrastructure Issues in the Mid West – Report
Project: A comprehensive report into the freight task associated with the current (mid 2007) Mid West resource industry and in the future based or projected out puts and planned projects.
Proponent: Mid West Development Commission
Value: Completed ‘in house’ by Commission staff to be used as a resource document to assist further planning.
Status: The completed report collates information on all of the projects that are planning to export via the existing port of Geraldton. It does not consider the Oakajee based projects as these are being addressed by the Department for Planning and Infrastructure on a separate basis. The report also looks at the freight task on the Brand Highway and considers the grain freight task in the Mid West. It provides information on the resource projects, the proposed transport modes and the transport infrastructure in the region.
The report is used as a base document by various agencies to assist with determining what planning activities are required for the region and as such is not publicly available at this stage.
