The primary objective of the Mid West Regional Grants Scheme (MWRGS) is to improve economic and community infrastructure and services in the Mid West region through funding projects that will assist in attracting investment and increasing jobs or help to improve the quality of life in the region.

Round 2 of the Regional Grants Scheme for 2009-10 is now open.

Regional Development Minister Brendon Grylls has officially announced the latest round of the State Government's Royalties for Regions Regional Grants Scheme. See details of the announcement here and a video of the announcement here.

Applications to the contestable Mid West Regional Grants Scheme close at 4:30pm Wednesday 10 February 2010. A total of $3,500,000 is available in the contestable Scheme for 2009-10, including $100,000 in the Small Grants Scheme.

There is no closing date for applications to the Mid West Small Grants Scheme, for funding requests up to and including $10,000. Once the $100,000 from this Scheme is allocated, it will close for the remainder of the year.

The Mid West Development Commission strongly encourages all prospective applicants to the MWRGS to consult with Commission staff at their earliest possible opportunity.
