TradeStart
TradeStart is a Federal Government initiative developed to assist small to medium enterprise (SME) businesses to export for the first time.
In the Mid West, TradeStart is an alliance between the Australian Trade Commission "Austrade" and the Mid West Development Commission.
The main service available is the New Exporters Services Program. To be eligible businesses must have:
- An ABN with Australia being the main place of business.
- Not received foreign exchange through export activity on a re-occurring basis from the same market in the last three years.
The New Exporters Services Program gives Mid West businesses the best possible start to exporting by providing new exporters with:
- A wide range of FREE services including advice and information about exporting.
- Export coaching
- And assistance on the ground in overseas markets.
The Commission’s TradeStart Export Adviser is keen to hear from businesses considering export with the view to providing assistance.
