The Mid West Development Commission is a State Government statutory authority that strives to encourage the sustainable development of Western Australia’s Mid West region.
The Commission’s operations are overseen by a community-based Board and functions under the provisions of the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993. It is one of nine regional development commissions in Western Australia.
The Mid West Development Commission is responsible to the Hon Alannah MacTiernan, Minister for Regional Development; Minister Agriculture and Food; Minister Assisting the Minister for State Development, Jobs and Trade.
A Board of Management comprising of 6 members representing Local Government, Community and Ministerial appointees, plus the Chief Executive Officer, sets the Commission’s overall direction and goals.
An energetic and responsive team of professionals make up the Mid West Development Commission staff.
The Mid West Development Commission is now located with Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (previously Department of Agriculture and Food).
