Housing - Registration of Proposed Solutions

A key outcome of the Geraldton Housing Development Forum held on 12 June 2023 was the start of an ongoing discussion with builders, developers and industry in an effort to improve ongoing and future efforts to address housing shortages.

The Forum provided an opportunity for key stakeholders to discuss housing solutions to improve the capacity of the local housing market to respond to the needs of current and future population growth, learn about government funding opportunities, address key challenges and connect with industry partners.

The Forum also heard from the CEO of the Mid West Development Commission, Nils Hay who announced the Registration of Proposed Solutions (ROPS) process seeking proposed housing options from developers, builders, housing providers and industry proponents to support liveability in the City of Greater Geraldton (CGG).
