Regional Drought Resilience
The Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program supports Mid West communities to prepare for and adapt to dry seasons, drought and a changing climate.
Delivered through the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund and the Western Australian Government, the program brings together local governments, industry, community organisations and regional stakeholders to identify practical actions that strengthen economic, environmental and social resilience.
In the Mid West, the program is delivered by the Mid West Development Commission in partnership with local governments, grower groups and regional communities.
The program has delivered two Regional Drought Resilience Plans covering the Mid West and North Midlands regions. These plans identify locally developed priorities and actions to strengthen resilience, support regional collaboration and guide future investment.
